why: Because the new classes are an important atribute to our school and I feel that they're something that people would be interested in. Since the classes are new, students should know more about them.
How: Interview both students and teachers of the class to get their opinion and to learn more of what the classes are about.

Well done, Taryn. For your "why," focus more on the reasons the classes are being offered, rather than why you're writing the article.
Incidentally, journalism isn't a new class. Mr. Davis taught it last year.
I believe there's a web design class offered by Ms. Liu, and a film studies course that Mr. Schrieber is teaching.
Can anyone else think of new classes this year?

I was talking to Ms Evans about the new classes and she was mentioning the chem com. conceptual physics which I have. She also mentioned that there was supposed to be a forensic course that nobody was interested. If you want to know about the forensic course she suggested Mr. Miller.
We'll talk about some contact emails today- you've got a good start and I think it would be an excellent idea to get in touch with an administrator about what new classes are being offered and what new classes may have been proposed.
